Has songs, will travel.

About

At last count, Stephen Flavahan was a 24 year old singer-songwriter living in Glasgow and dividing his time unevenly between singing, guitar and pianising.

In a short space of time gigging smaller venues around Glasgow and Dundee, Stephen has established an energetic three-piece live show and played live support slots with Bombay Bicycle Club, The View, Frightened Rabbit and been played on Jim Gellatly’s Amazing Radio show.

Born in Dundee, a contemporary of The View and former band-mate of Kieran Webster & Pete Reilly, Stephen swapped the emerging scene for a stint living in India, several girls and a degree in Engineering from the University of Glasgow.  None of which ever impressed enough to compete with the unyeilding strain offered by life as a musician.

His debut EP ‘Memories + Tragedies’ has been recorded with Marcus Mackay (Snow Patrol/Frightened Rabbit) and was released in June 2011.  Expect catchy hooks, exceptional songwriting and tunes about love and all its bedfellows.

About the website

Stephen says:  “I hope you like the songs. I’ll be parading them around in person at some small gigs soon; it’d be nice to see you there.

This blog will be the mouthpiece of the whole venture, and I’ll be using it to let you know what I’m up to and where I’m going to be playing amongst whatever else I think you might be interested in.

Listen to the tunes, let me know what you think; suggest venues, whatever you like.

Mi virtual casa es su virtual casa.”
